Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 11 April 2026

1. About Us

These terms and conditions govern your use of the online ordering and payment services provided by The Sunset Society.

2. Definitions

3. Service Description

We offer the following services through our website:

  1. Click & Collect / Pre-Order: Browse our menu online, place your order, pay securely, and collect your food at the agreed time from our premises.
  2. Pay at Table: Once you have finished your dine-in meal, scan the QR code at your table and pay your bill online, including the option to add a tip.
  3. Order & Pay: While seated at your table, scan the QR code to browse the full menu, place your order, and pay — all from your phone.

4. Order Process & Contract Formation

  1. You browse the menu and add items to your order.
  2. You review your order and proceed to payment.
  3. You provide payment details and confirm. The confirmation button clearly states the payment obligation (e.g. "Place Order & Pay").
  4. A binding contract is formed when we accept your order and confirm it on-screen or via email. We reserve the right to decline any order.

5. Pricing & Payment

6. Cancellation & Refunds

Because food and beverages are perishable goods, orders are exempt from the 14-day cooling-off period under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.

7. Collection Terms (Click & Collect / Pre-Order)

8. Allergen & Dietary Information

9. Alcohol

If our menu includes alcoholic beverages, you confirm that you are 18 years of age or over when ordering. We operate a Challenge 25 policy and may request proof of age on collection or at the table.

10. Your Responsibilities

11. Availability & Menu Changes

We make every effort to keep our menu accurate and up to date. However, menu items, prices, and availability may change without notice. If an item you ordered is unavailable, we will contact you to offer an alternative or a refund for that item.

12. Intellectual Property

All content on this website — including menus, images, text, and logos — is owned by or licensed to The Sunset Society. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use any content without our written permission.

13. Limitation of Liability

14. Third-Party Services

Our website uses third-party services including payment processing and security tools. Your use of these services is subject to their own terms and privacy policies.

15. Complaints

If you have a complaint, please contact us at [your email address] or call [your phone number]. We aim to respond within 5 working days. If we are unable to resolve your complaint, you may refer the matter to an alternative dispute resolution provider.

16. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The latest version will always be available on our website. Continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

17. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
